A couple began documenting their journey to transform a $5,000 school bus into a fully equipped motorhome to live with their two pet dogs.
Allison and Nick have over 1.3 million followers on their TikTok profile, where they showcase their travel routine, home-on-wheels decor, and some of the realistic challenges that life on the road can bring.
According to The New York Post, the couple bought the old school bus for just $5,000 on the online sales platform eBay in 2018. From there, they spent countless hours transforming the interior into a fully equipped home.
They spent over $45,000 on the renovation. Once everything was ready, Allison and Nick left their careers, sold everything they owned, and rented out their house to hit the road with the school bus they have called home since 2021.

As can be seen from the videos posted on their profile, the couple has a fully equipped motorhome with a living room, functional kitchen, bathroom with bathtub, bedroom with a spacious double bed, a small garden, and plenty of space for their two pet dogs.
Additionally, they enjoy the full benefit of mobility. While a beach house can be very expensive, they can park by the sea whenever they want a swim, or head to a mountain campsite to enjoy the winter.
Allison and Nick are truly living the life that many dream of, and their video comments are filled with praise. “Well, this is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen,” admitted one TikTok user.
“Dear diary, today I met envy,” joked another. “That bathroom is everything,” commented a third user. “The pups are definitely living the life! Well, they all are!” added another.
